How can we say NO?

This is an email I recieved today…….

Please read on (names removed; it could be anywhere, but it was today09/02/2011  in The Black Country)

“Firstly I would like to thank you in behalf of my client for the clothing you sent down for him, it was much appreciated so thank you.

I now have another client who is in dire straights.  He is 17 years old and was homeless on the streets after his Mum kicked him out.  He moved into ***** on Friday and did not have much apart from the couple of bags of clothes he turned up with.  He had to have a police escort to his Mum’s as she would not give him the rest of his things, but when they got there she had got rid of all of his things.

This poor lad has only just informed me that he has no bedding and has been sleeping on the bed with no covers.  We do have a couple of quilts here that ex clients have left behind and I have washed them for emergencies so he can have one of these, but this is all we have going here at present.  *** has asked me to ask you about the bedding that was discussed at our meeting to see if its at all possible for us to obtain some of this bedding from you ?  This would be great in such circumstances as these as we often have young people arrive with just the clothes on their backs”.

Wow. It's Quiet Here...
