Volunteer with us

How can you make a difference

Helping in your Community

If you are interested in volunteering at our central warehouse in Brierley Hill, please give us a call on 01384 671250, or email admin@blackcountryfoodbank.org.uk and we can let you know what our current vacancies are.

The foodbanks in our network look after their own teams of volunteers. Feel free to visit them while they are open to ask about any volunteering opportunities. You can find their locations here.

If you would like to explore other volunteer opportunities in your community, we recommend you contacting your local borough service:

Support us practically

Any community group/school/business can get involved and organise a collection point. We can provide posters and shopping lists to generate awareness. Your collection point can be a simple cardboard box or you can create something that is unique to you! Organisations can have a collection point box at work for volunteers/employees/students and/or the general public.

Once you have collected food and toiletry items you can donate them to us in one of the following ways:

  • You can drop the donations off at our central warehouse in Brierley Hill, Monday to Friday, 8am-2pm
  • You can drop the donations off at your local foodbank - see our locations page for opening times of our foodbanks
  • Alternatively, we can pick the donations up with a bit of notice - please call 01384 671250 Monday to Friday, 9am-1pm or email admin@blackcountryfoodbank.org.uk to arrange a suitable time.

Take a Tour

If you would like to see the journey the donations go on, we can arrange a tour of the warehouse.

Please call 01384 671250 Monday to Friday, 9am -1pm, or email admin@blackcountryfoodbank.org.uk to arrange.
